FAQs

If you have any additional questions that aren't listed on our site, please feel free to reach out to either of us. We want to make sure our guests are worry-free and can enjoy the day.
Question

WHAT’S THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

We know that planning to attend a wedding does in fact take planning. Please know that above all else we want you to be comfortable and enjoy the day. Smart casual, please. It is a summer wedding in South Carolina and we know the humidity will be rough. Example attire listed below. He should wear: Dress pants with a button-down shirt or polo. Ties are optional. She should wear: A sundress or a skirt or pants with a nice blouse.

Question

What kind of weather can be expected?

Answer

For those of you not from the South Carolina area, the weather can be fairly unpredictable. We could be blessed with a gorgeous day, but it is safe to prepare for the chance of rain. The average temperature in August in South Carolina is 88 degrees. We will be offering ways to help combat the heat or rain, but please plan accordingly.

Question

Will the ceremony take place inside or outside?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place outside.

Question

CAN I BRING A DATE?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

ARE KIDS INVITED?

Answer

If your invitation says "The (your last name) Family" then yes. If not we would prefer if it was just the names listed on the invitation. Keep in mind, if your children are invited and you choose to make it a date night for just the two of you, rock on! All we ask is that you indicate that choice when you receive an RSVP card.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no", so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We ask that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony. This will allow you time to get parked and seated. Due to the landscape of the venue, any guests that arrive after the ceremony has started will be asked to wait in their car until after the ceremony has ended. The official schedule will be be added to the site closer to the event date and will be posted under the "Schedule" tab.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Upon arrival you will see a sign for the venue. Please proceed onto the gravel road and you will be directed where to park. Parking is free, but we do encourage families and couples to ride in one car. Please feel free to use an Uber/Lyft if you would prefer. A golf cart will be provided to shuttle those who need assistance to the location of the ceremony.

Question

Will alcohol be provided?

Answer

Beer and wine will be provided at no charge to guests. A few options of both will be available.
