My cousin Lucas, or my text boyfriend as Casey refers to him, and I have always been close. Before my awesome little cousin Mac was born, Lucas was my only cousin on my Mother's side. We share the same passion for music and enthusiasm for our local sports teams. He's always been a positive influence on me and been a voice of reason when I needed it most.

He is by far one of the strongest persons I have ever known and I mean that in the sense that he is both physically strong and an incredibly passionate human being. He is a rock, he keeps me level headed and I know he will always support me just as I will always support him.

If I could blame my over the top competitiveness on anyone, this guy would be the top suspect. Jeff and I have been close friends since middle school, running around the climbing gym annoying other climbers and attempting to one up each other every step of the way. Jeff is one of the smartest guys I know and always shows me I can better myself by bettering himself first.

Greg and I have been tied at the hip since I moved into a quiet little neighborhood in Walnut Creek, despite us not quite becoming close friends in my kindergarten class we always seemed to find our way into the same classroom, gym or party. Greg and his family were almost a second family to me, growing up right down the street. He is the most adventurous, daring, kind and giving person I have ever known and I will always be there for him just as he will always be there for me.

Matt is a wise guy, not in a sarcastic way (sort of), he's just the consistently smart and positive guy that I am incredibly lucky to call my friend. If I could have another second family it would be the Chernin's. It was from Matt and his family that I was taught how to look at things from a different perspective and open my eyes. Matt showed me not to be afraid and to go out and experience new things and new places by doing it himself.

Lars, the old man, not because he's older by any means but because he seems to have his life better put together than the rest of us. With a beautiful wife and baby girl he gets to come home to and an incredible depth of knowledge in almost all things I know not. Lars will undoubtedly be the cool dad among his daughters friends, the guy still shreds on his skateboard and makes a strong yet excellent cocktail. The guy is just the definition of cool.
