As told by Brooke - "Ok, let's go way back. The first time I ever laid eyes on Casey was in 7th grade at cheer practice. His mom, Dina, was my cheer coach. He had just got done golfing and was walking over to where we were practicing our toe touches and chants. Of course, I thought his frosted tips hair style was HOT, and the annoying little girl I was, had to ask Dina "Who is THAT?!"... then bugging her non-stop about how cute he was. Fast forward to our senior year. It's the first day of school and sitting behind me in History class is Mr. Casey Fernandez. We started to gain mutual friends, hanging out during the classes we had together and eventually outside of school. After thousands of text messages and phone calls that lasted hours I could tell Casey was the kindest, most caring, funniest man I had ever met, luckily he wasn't too bad to look at either... and the rest is history. As told by Casey - "I was 17 years old, a senior in high school. I had one of those classes where it was serious, but it really wasn't, we called it "Yearbook". Eventually me and a few class mates would make our way into the library to hangout and pretend like we were doing stuff for "Yearbook". Brooke was a TA for Kitty, couldn't exactly tell you what she did but it involved making copies, running little errands, and keep her company. When I first really got to know Brooke, I couldn't exactly depict what kind of person she was, I knew she was cute, quirky, tiny and LOUD. Time went on and I found myself going to the library not to just do "Yearbook" stuff, but to see Brooke, and here we are now, little did I know she wasn't only, cute, quirky, tiny and LOUD (I mean L-O-U-D) she has grown to be more than that, she is now beautiful, hilarious, witty, very loving and an extremely hard worker, but she is also still LOUD AS EVER. But thats ok, I love her very much, and have a pair of top quality ear plugs."
After repelling down a waterfall in Costa Rica, Casey got down on one knee in the freezing cold water. With Brooke's family cheering them on, she said "Yes!" We are so excited to share this next chapter of our lives with you!
