Festive Attire: Wear something that screams, “I’m here to celebrate!” Bold colors, fun prints, twirly dresses, statement accessories, snazzy suits, matching sets. Think about the outfit you would want to wear to a wedding but are afraid that it's too much...THAT'S the one. As casual or as formal as you would like...we really don't give a shit...come as you are! This all being said...COMFY. SHOES. ARE. A. MUST. WE MEAN IT. The heights are hilly with some uneven grounds throughout the park. Plus, the PARADE. DUH. Stilettos just aren't going to cut it. Sorry to our glamorous heel-wearers...your glamor will have to shine somewhere else. Sneakers are VERY welcome (and ENCOURAGED)! Feel free to add some charms to your laces! Maybe a fancy sock??? Mix & Mingle is your chance to arrive a little early, enjoy the park, meet new faces, and grab your parade props for the post-ceremony celebration. Think of it as your fun, stress-free buffer to get settled and beat any traffic or train delays...all while soaking up a little pre-party excitement!
No! We’re coming together as one, and you are too! No “bride 1” or “bride 2” sides. Just one big certifiably insane family.
Yes. A parade. We know it sounds totally insane and that is the point! After the ceremony we will march around the beautiful garden to the restaurant with puppets, props, and all sorts of playful goodies. We will jam out, chit-chat, and celebrate every step of the way. It is a moving party and you are all invited to our glorious chaos. If this walk is out of your realm of possibilities, we understand!!! You can skip it and take the short cut to the reception.
We’ll be serving dinner and enough dessert to make your sweet tooth very happy. Drinks? Both boozy and booze-free options, of course.
The Ceremony: nothing for you to worry about, just sit back, relax, and enjoy our union under the chuppah! Now...The Reception: You have two assignments. 1. The Hora: The traditional hora, or chair dance, is the highlight of a Jewish wedding reception. The wedding couple is lifted above the crowd on chairs, while guests sing "Hava Nagila" and circle the couple in a celebratory dance. If you are strong, prepare yourself for this duty. Check it out here: https://youtu.be/pGTho2a9t9k 2. Mitzvah Dances: The mitzvah dances are meant to celebrate and entertain the newly married couple. The couple is traditionally seated while loved ones dance for them and make them laugh with costumes, props and more. We're not too hung up on the formality of this...we just want to be ENTERTAINED DAMN IT. Show us your best dance moves, hit us with a Shakespeare sonnet, sing us a song, put on a puppet show, or really whatever you know will tickle our fancy. Get rehearsing people...
Easy. Don't! We love you ALL so much and will NOT BE OFFENDED BY AN IRISH GOODBYE!!!!!!!! It's actually what the moment calls for sometimes and that's a-okay. If you run out of steam and need to leave early, trust us...we understand. Just shoot us a text to let us know what an amazing time you had ;)
TEXT US!!!!!! CALL US!!!!!! We would LOVE to yap about our wedding with you!
