Ben and Casey met through mutual friends doing service with their community. On their first date, Ben made Casey laugh the entire meal and has continued to do so, he stole her heart because of it. Ben often says he knew he loved her first, and she swears she loved them together through their challenges. They had many twists as they built their life together and wouldn’t have it any other way. The couple got engaged on Christmas Eve 2018 and eloped privately on February 4th 2019. They remain unconventional, full of triumphs, growing pains, and most importantly, deeply committed and in love.

The couple decided to marry privately, sharing their vows with eachother through laughter, while dressed in jeans and work attire. Having a reception with those they love is not an after thought, rather just a reflection of the couples inability to comply to convention. The Hesleps view those invited as family and cannot wait to celebrate with everyone.
