Travel Note
There are a handful of options to get to the Bay Area from wherever you may be coming in from. Both SFO (San Francisco Airport) and OAK (Oakland Airport) will get you into San Francisco in a relatively short amount of time. They both have BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) shuttle service directly from the airport, or you can order an Uber or hail a taxi to get to downtown for around $40. Unless you will be exploring other parts of the Bay Area north of the Golden Gate Bridge such as wine country or Marin, there is no need to have a car during your stay. Ride hailing mobile apps such as Uber or Lyft are plentiful and very inexpensive. You can get from one end of the city to the other for less than $15! SJC (San Jose) is another viable option but will take about 1 - 2 hours to get to San Francisco.
