Like a lot of modern love stories, ours started with a simple connection online, one that neither of us expected would turn into something so meaningful. From the very beginning, there was an ease between us. Our first date at The Optimist is still one we talk about often, not just because of the food, but because of how everything else seemed to fade into the background. Time slowed down, conversations flowed effortlessly, and somewhere between laughter and shared glances, we both realized this was something different. What started as a single date quickly grew into something much deeper. Over the past five years, we have built a life side by side, one filled with growth, partnership, and plenty of adventure. We have traveled together, started a business together, and supported each other through every season along the way. Our families, though different in size, have come together in a way that feels natural and complete. And somewhere in the middle of it all, our corgi Woody became part of the story too, adding even more personality and joy to our everyday lives. At the heart of it all, our relationship has always been about showing up for each other, learning together, and building something meaningful one step at a time.
