Although we met through a couple mutual friends. We actually contacted eachother through facebook. Casey has been such a gentlemen since day one. After a couple days of talking he asked me out on a date. He told me to pick somewhere nice, anywhere I wanted to go. Our first official date he took me to the melting pot, then we went to a movie at my favorite theatre in Boulder. Love at first sight is truly the best way to put it. We have made each other so happy and been best friends since day one. Casey even let me pick out all the furniture for his new house. He gave me keys and a garage opener. He said it was "our home" from the very beginning, which meant so much to me. We became very close very fast, but only continue to grow closer every single day. In Mid December we found out we were pregnant with our son Hunter. We were both very nervous, but SO excited. We grew very close through my pregnancy knowing we would be parents together. We absolutely love being his parents he is the greatest blessing in the world.
In January Casey got a weekend off and took me on a special mini vacay to Estes Park (my favorite place in Colorado). My mom, dad and sisters kept Roxie for the night. We stayed in a super cute hotel, went to dinner, and got our favorite dessert (cheesecake). We stayed up late watching movies and talking about our baby and lives together. The next morning we woke up to a ton of snow. Casey had something special planned, he took me to Marys Lake and had it all set up to propose to me. He was so nervous it was so cute. It was such a special day I will never forget it. We looked at wedding venues in Estes, but fell in Love with the Tapestry House in Laporte.
