In August 2018, Alec and I met through mutual friends when I was visiting Washington D.C. Because I was only in my second year of college when we met, we were forced to continue getting to know each other exclusively through texts, phone calls, and many FaceTime calls. Our intentions were clear from the start which is why it was not long before we were telling our friends and family about this person we were dating who lived over 600 miles away. We continued to date long-distance for three years before we got engaged in December 2021 and I moved to Virginia for work. Because of the distance that separated us for our entire relationship, yes there were challenges, but because of them, we built an incredibly strong foundation very early on in our relationship that continues to build to this day. We are very excited for y'all to join us on our special day and cannot wait to have everyone we love in one place!
