Adam and Casey’s story began at a small karaoke bar in Chicago called Harrigan’s. They struck up a conversation and exchanged phone numbers. That same night, Casey’s friend Megan bet her friend Tina $100 that the pair would one day fall in love. (Spoiler: the night before Adam proposed, Tina finally handed Megan that $100 bill). From that night on, they began going on dates and soon officially became a couple. Each year since, they’ve kept up their tradition of celebrating their anniversary with a downtown hotel staycation. Early on, one of their most memorable moments was dancing in Adam’s Lakeview apartment to “Dancing in the Moonlight” by King Harvest- a song that will later become their wedding song. Over the years, Casey and Adam have shared many adventures together, traveling to Guatemala, Norway, Canada, Aruba, Iceland, and Mexico. Some of their favorite memories, however, have been the ones made close to home with their families and friends. Adam proposed to Casey at a scenic spot overlooking the Chicago skyline, on a night she thought they were heading to her birthday dinner. After many happy tears and Casey saying yes, Adam surprised her once more with an engagement party at one of their favorite date-night restaurants. Fittingly, they ended that night at Harrigan’s- the karaoke bar where it all began.
