October 15, 2017 -- Also known as the Day Aaron Rodgers almost died. It was the famous rival between the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings. At a mutual friends house, surrounded by a sea of Purple, were two sole Packer Fans -- Casey and Rob. Casey told their mutual friend MULTIPLE times (alcohol may have been a factor) how cute he was and that she should give him her number. They exchanged texts for a few weeks and finally met up for a group date and did nothing but watch football the whole next day -- it's also the day he met Murphee and fell in love (with the dog).
It was a cold December day in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan... While at Casey's parent's for Christmas, Rob admitted to forgetting something at camp during hunting season, so he was determined they needed to go find it before they could go out that night with friends. After trucking through the 12" of snow, and lots of complaining, Casey insisted it wasn't there and was anxious to get going to meet her friends. Rob tried to comfort her and tell her they were not in a rush and then got down on one knee and admitted to never having forgotten anything, but only wanted to Marry her --she said YES! and yes....he asked Chuck Fazer for permission in early September at a Packer game and then Rob continued to tell all of Casey's friends that night he had "the ring".
Casey is a Physician Assistant at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and works in the department of Medical Oncology and specializes in Head and Neck cancer. Rob works at ECA Marketing as a Senior Annuity Consultant. Rob lived in Plymouth, MN and Casey lived in Rochester. After about a year of dating, they wanted to be closer together. They finally agreed to live "half way" and purchased a house in the town of Farmington, Minnesota where they are currently living happily ever after. They enjoy traveling and going to Packer Football games and spending time with friends and family, and of course, giving all their love to Murphee.
