Madie and Joey met through mutual friends at Shiner Park in College Station. They barley spoke to each other that night, but Joey sure did have the biggest crush on Madie. He even wrote a song about her the next day! It wasn't until the end of February that Madie gave Joey her number, and they started dating. Crazy to think they grew up 30 minutes from each other and meet 2 hours away from their hometowns. Later that June, Joey made it official with Madie and their journey began. Four years later they are now engaged and have a baby boy on the way!

It was their annual No Bitchin River Trip they take with their very close friends every summer! Camping for a week in New Braunfels on the Guadulupe River. Saturday morning comes around, and Joey is up very early, while Madie is sleeping in. Little did she know what he was planning. Madie goes down to the river to greet some of their friends that came down. Joey spins Madie around and is on one knee asking her to marry him. Of course, Madie says yes and can't believe what just happened! They spend the rest of the day celebrating their engagement on the river!
