Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We would love it if you could RSVP by May 1st at the latest, the earlier you can let us know the better!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Just bring something you're comfortable walking in down a country track/trail. We strongly suggest you don't wear heels, or shoes you care about getting dirty. Sneakers are fine! Besides that, just wear whatever you feel comfortable moving around in, and bring a rain jacket just in case!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Absolutely! Please be aware that there will be copious amounts of walking around on the day, so if you or your child is unable to walk with us please feel free to take the taxi we will hire and meet us at the tea stop along the way (All Saint's Church at Tellisford), refreshments at the end of the walk (James' Parents house at 2 Farthing Row), or the reception (Cross Keys Pub).

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

We will all gather at the Village Hall at the intersection of Rode Hill and High Street, parking will be available there.

Question

What is the accessibility like for people with limited mobility?

Answer

We will gather at the Village Hall, which has ramp access and parking. The walk down to the ceremony is along a paved road, and the ceremony itself will be held on a flat field 70 meters (200ft) from the road. The 4km walk to Tellisford and back is not recommended for those with mobility limitations, as there will be uneven farm track and bridges to cross over which may not be wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. There will be three stiles to climb over on the first half of the walk (from the field to Tellisford), so if clothing or mobility does not allow for clambering, there is a lovely country lane to walk down as an option as well that will take you right to the church. We will hire a car to drive from the field to Tellisford for tea and back to the Flindall's for refreshments, so do feel free to take that option and join us for as much or as little of the walking as you'd like! Refreshments will be served at the house right next to the Village Hall in the late afternoon around 3:30-4pm, we would be happy to reconvene with everyone there! For specific accessibility information for the reception venue, please contact Hannah at the Cross Keys 01373 830900 / hello@crosskeysrode.co.uk.

Question

What food will be served at the reception?

Answer

There will be a buffet-style set-up with a large range of options, vegan and vegetarian included. If you have any severe food allergies or dietary restrictions that would necessitate certain foods being kept separate please let us know ahead of time.

For all the days along the way
