Let's try this again!

Update: Due to the unforeseen covid delay, a courthouse wedding took place on September 25, 2020. The gathering of loved ones was put on hold but nothing would make more sense as their 2nd anniversary approaches than to bring everyone together for a post wedding celebration! The story: High school is often where you find people who become life long friends. Rachel first spotted Chad in the Poly/Western quad her freshman year of high school. The day before her sophomore/his senior year, she called him. The next day, they met. Over the year that followed, they spent time sharing a love of music and old Mustangs. An ease of being together entwined their souls, and thus began a love story that would bind them in ways they wouldn't fully understand until many years later. Rachel's family moved and life went on separately for 32 years. They took a little break. Chad remained in Maryland, and Rachel had been living in Nashville for many years. Fast forward to December 2015...Rachel awoke with the persistent thought of Chad. After a bit of internet stalking, bounced back emails and friend requests, she called him, again. They were reunited on a visit to Baltimore. The day before, Chad wrote, "You found me. Again. Clever girl." They felt each other's pull. They melted into each other as if time stood still. The kiss and embrace was a "welcome-home-to-your-spirit" kind of moment. Back to Nashville Rachel went. Not knowing what would happen, a long distance relationship followed for the next 2 years. There was a familiar feeling but they were now very different people. It didn't matter. It was right and they knew it. In March of 2018, Rachel, Coco and Midnight moved home to Baltimore and thus began a new chapter. Life threw some hard curve balls but they found comfort and support in each other. They found their little piece of Heaven in Woodbine with breathtaking views. Looking back, it's all very clear now. There was a force much higher pulling them back together for a greater purpose. It's not what the second half of life typically looks like but its beautiful. Theirs is a love story that spans decades but it's so right when you find your person.
