FAQ

We’ve put together a little FAQ to help answer some common questions about our big day. We hope it makes planning your visit a breeze so you can just relax and celebrate with us!
Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

RSVP by April 15, 2026 but if you can let us know sooner, that would be great! If we haven’t heard from you by then, we’ll assume you won’t be able to join us.

Question

What time should I arrive to your ceremony?

Answer

The garden will be open to guests at 2:00pm. The ceremony will begin at 2:30. We suggest adding an additional 5 to 10 minutes to your arrival time for parking. Parking is on the street and you may need to walk a few blocks.

Question

Is there parking available near the venue?

Answer

There is plenty of public, street parking surrounding the Opera House, the closest being in front on 3rd St. If you have difficulty with mobility and need a spot in front, please let us know and we'll ask the Opera House staff to try to hold a space for you.

Question

Dress Code

Answer

- What's the dress code for your wedding? : We kindly request Garden Attire for our celebration. Think sundresses in solids or floral prints and suits or slacks and button-down shirts. (Ties are optional.) - Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer guests not wear? : Please don't wear dresses that are mostly white. Since the ceremony will be outdoors, we recommend comfortable shoes like sandals or flats instead of heels.

Question

Are you registered anywhere?

Answer

We don’t have a traditional registry since our apartment is already full of the essentials. If you’d like to give a gift, we’d love contributions toward our honeymoon adventures or our future house fund (both on our Registry tab). Your thoughtfulness will help us make amazing memories and take the next big step in our journey together!

Question

Is the venue wheelchair/walker accessible?

Answer

Guests will walk to the garden on paved pathways, but the ceremony will be held on the grass which unfortunately isn’t very wheelchair-friendly. However, the reception immediately following will take place indoors in the Opera House, which is wheelchair accessible (including restrooms). We want all our guests to feel comfortable and included, so please let us know if you’d like assistance or if we can help make arrangements to ensure you enjoy the celebration.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our afternoon ceremony will be outdoors in the garden, the reception will take place indoors. Guests will walk to the garden on paved pathways, but will need to walk on grass to take their seats. For that reason, heels are not recommended.

Question

What if the weather doesn't cooperate?

Answer

If it looks like rain or high temperatures, the ceremony will move inside the Opera House.

Question

Will you be having a cocktail hour?

Answer

Instead of a traditional cocktail hour, we invite you to head straight into the Opera House after the ceremony to grab a bite and a drink! We’ll be joining you for the fun right after we finish photos.

Question

What will you be serving?

Answer

We’ll be serving up delicious charcuterie and fresh crudités. Think tasty meats, cheeses, and crisp veggies to snack on. To sip, we’ll have beer, wine, and soft drinks, and of course, save room for cake!

Question

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at any nearby hotels?

Answer

We don't have rooms reserved but you'll receive a 12% discount at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Marysville if you follow the link we provided on our Travel tab.

Question

What's the best airport to use?

Answer

- Seattle Paine Field International Airport (PAE), aka Paine Field or Everett Airport, is about 11 miles from the venue. Alaska, Delta, American, United, Southwest, and Frontier land at Paine. - If your airline doesn't land at Paine, the next best option is Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), aka SeaTac Airport. Most airlines land there. It is about 50 miles from the venue.

Question

Are children allowed at your wedding?

Answer

We’re so happy to celebrate with families! We’ve included minor children in our invitations, so if your child is under 18, you should see a spot for them when you RSVP. We just have a few important notes to help keep everyone safe and the venue in great shape... - There won’t be a babysitter onsite, so please plan to keep an eye on your child(ren) throughout the day. - We’ll be moving chairs to open up the garden space so kids can play outside! Please note that the gates leading to the street and alley don’t lock, so be sure to stay with them while they’re outdoors. - The basement level is off-limits. It houses the electrical and boiler rooms, as well as a full kitchen and we can’t block the stairs. Please keep little adventurers from wandering downstairs. - Lastly, please help us make sure the kids treat the Opera House with care. It’s a beautiful historic building, and we’re all responsible for keeping it that way!

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?

Answer

When you RSVP, you’ll see who was included on your invitation. We’d love to welcome more, but with limited space at the Opera House, we’re only able to host the guests listed. Thank you so much for understanding.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

Yes, photos are welcome! We just ask that you keep them minimal during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present; our photographer has it covered. Once the reception begins, snap away! Just let the photographer grab the big moments first, then it’s all yours. Don’t forget to share your shots with us using the QR code cards at the tables—we can’t wait to see the day through your eyes!

Question

Where should I look for updates?

Answer

We’ll be posting all updates right here on our wedding website, so this will be the best place to check in. Think of it as your go-to hub for all things wedding.

Question

I have more questions! Who do I contact?

Answer

Before June 24th, you’re welcome to reach out to Cassie or Ed directly with any questions. After that date, they’ll be taking a well-deserved break from planning duties, and their wonderful wedding planner, Bethany, will be your go-to gal! We'll add her contact here closer to the date.
