2+2

Matt: I noticed Leti before she even knew who I was. Not in a creepy way, more in the my sister dates her cousin so she was at the family parties way. The moment I saw her, I told everyone I knew, "I'm gonna date that girl. Trust me. 2+2 equals 4." - Leti: For context, Matt was wearing superhero pajamas and playing video games the first time we met. He waved to me from the top of the stairs and ran back into his room. I knew he had a crush on me so I thought it was cute. Matt: I started inviting her everywhere. She rejected several Heat games and movies then, one day she showed up to a pickup basketball game I was at. I won that day, 7-0. - Leti: Matt left for college in Tennessee shortly after that basketball game. We texted, FaceTimed, and called every second he was there until one day he told me he was coming back home, for good. - Matt: I took her to miniature golf on our first official date and we had our first kiss that night. I knew I wanted to make her my girlfriend so, I planned the perfect date to Casa Tua on November 5, 2016. I played it cool the entire night. She laughed at my jokes, we ate dessert, and before we headed out, I gave her a letter to read. The letter ended with something along the lines of, ‘Will you be my girlfriend? Check yes or no." - Leti: I drew my own checkbox that said “DUH!”

Meet me at The Common

I went to grad school at Tufts University in Boston for 18 months and it was finally graduation weekend. Our entire family flew out for the occasion. After the graduation ceremony, we rushed to the restaurant we reserved for what Leti thought was a "graduation brunch." Halfway there, I told her I wanted to stop at The Common to take pictures with my cap and gown. If you know me well enough... then you understand how hard this was to pull off. When we arrived at the park, I made Sam follow us taking pictures. Leti complained about her hair, heels, and everything in between until we approached a bench and guitarist. She passed the bench and complimented the music while I hung behind her. When she turned around, I was on one knee and she said duh, again. Love, Matthew Casanova
