Justin and Bethany met through Justin's older sister, Kaitlyn. Bethany and Kaitlyn attended Duke together (go Devils go!) in 2017 and created a lifelong friendship. Over the next handful of years Bethany met every person in the Friedman/Donaldson family except for the mysterious Justin. But one afternoon in New Jersey, Bethany was visiting Kaitlyn and Justin walked through the door. According to Kaitlyn, Bethany audibly gasped and nearly fell to the floor. Through years of friendship with Kaitlyn and missed connections, they finally met.
Over the next handful of months after that fateful first meeting, Justin and Bethany kindled a friendship. And through that friendship (and mutual hatred of training for a marathon), their friendship built into something more. They have been steadfast in their commitment to each other, always choosing to find joy. They are so excited for marriage.
