Lake mirror has beautiful scenery and a special meaning to us because it is where we got ENGAGED! This is in Downtown Lakeland with delicious restaurants, boutiques, and coffee shops all within walking distance. If you’re in town and want an afternoon to sight see the heart of Lakeland, Florida this is definitely the place to go.

Many know Florida is well known for the Magical Land of Disney, and luckily it is only a 60 minute drive from Lakeland, Florida! Disney Springs is free to enter and has many stores, restaurants, and souvenir shops to remember your stay from the weekend. To enter the park of Disney would be at a cost however you can always just pick up a pair of Mickey Mouse ears from Disney Springs and no one has to know! This place is also special to us since it was the first time we spent time with our niece and nephews together🤍 Check out the Ice cream shop Ghirardelli! It is my favorite!

Universal CityWalk Orlando

Universal CityWalk Orlando

Another popular spot in Florida is the Universal Studios Park in Orlando, and at only an hour and fifteen minute drive from Lakeland, Florida it is an experience worth having! Universal City Walk is also free to enter and you can explore souvenir shops, more restaurants, and even a movie theater open late hours into the night. The parks themselves do require purchased tickets but City Walk can give you the adventurous experience for your weekend trip. If you wanted to book a flight a day early to catch the parks this might just be your sign to do it!

The Tampa Riverwalk

The Tampa Riverwalk is perfect if you want an evening to relax and enjoy the sweet spot of Tampa Bay. At only 40 minutes from Lakeland, Florida the Riverwalk has a wide range of things to do starting with visiting Armature Works where you can enjoy shopping and eating with the scenery of the river, and plenty of little downtown treasures. This was the place where everything started. Where we became boyfriend and girlfriend! So if you decide to visit during your trip, you can explore the stunning city where our love began. There are also scooters and bikes available to rent and ride around the town, one of our favorite memories together!

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

South of Lakeland, Florida there is a wonderful park to visit if you have the time. Busch Gardens in Tampa, FL is full of rides, shows, and snack booths all throughout the park. You can see and learn about all kinds of animals, enjoy a train ride, and enjoy the souvenir shops located just about everywhere. This is the place our awesome cousin Adriana Roman took us to and we were able to make wonderful memories. Tickets do need to be purchased but being one of the more affordable parks it might be totally worthwhile!
