Stacia and I met in high school, where we shared a few classes together like choir, chemistry, and art. We knew each other through mutual friends for a long time, but we didn't see each other much outside of school. I was drawn to Stacia because of the confident way she carries herself, and the neat sculptures she made in art class. We lived in a small town without much to do, so one day I asked Stacia if she would like to build a sandcastle with me at the Hayward beach. From there, we got a lot closer, and went on kayak adventures and trips to Duluth. That year on the fourth of July we went out with all of our friends to watch the fireworks. Something clicked for Stacia and I, and we both knew that we wanted to be together. Fast forward many months of phone calls and flirting over texts, we finally became official after Stacia's best friend and roommate in college, Jen, had to spell out for me that the feeling I had for her was mutual. That was almost a decade ago and I can’t wait for the decades more. There’s no one else I could spend the rest of my life with. When I think about Carver, I think abou the past 8 years, and how much we've gotten to grow into ourselves and the people we are today. How he has always remained the person I fell in love with that day in choir. I think about how I didn't realize I was in love with him until the next 4th of July. How I thought long distance never works, but how I couldn't say goodbye. How through every change, every move, every new challange, we did them together. How there is no one else I'd would've rather experienced them with, no one else I could've gotten through them with. I think about how he's always supported my goals and helped me acheive them. How much fun we have camping, thrifting, eating diner food, and trying new coffee shops with. How much I love having a home with him, and I love what a cat dad he's become. I think about how much I love living life with him, and how much I can't wait to marry him. I think about how much I love him
