We got engaged here! Naxos is one of our favorite Greek Islands! It keeps a perfect mix of authentic Grecian seaside village while still offering a ton of options for food, activities, and beaches. Restaurants Avaton 1739 (Breakfast) Melimilon (Breakfast) Apostolis (Dinner) Doukato (Dinner) Typografil (Dinner) Rotonda (Lunch, will need Car/ATV to get to) Activities Rent ATV's and explore smaller villages (Koronos, Halki) Beach Day (Agio Ana, Mikri Viglia, Pyrgaki ) Portara/Temple of Apollo (Highly suggest going at sunset)
Crete is one of the largest islands in Greece with its own unique culture. If wanting to travel you will absolutely need a car to get around. We recommend picking one or 2 larger towns to stay in and use that as home base to travel around. Crete is incredible but will warn the roads are very windy and cut into mountain sides so its a little spooky :( 12/10 recommend. Towns to Visit Rethymno (we stayed here and loved it so much. Stay close to the down town area) Heraklion Chania Activities Kourtaliotiko Gorge (Dress in hiking clothes and tennis shoes, will need to hike down a mountain to get to it but SO worth it when you get to the gorge) Loutro (Small village only accessible by ferry, make it a day trip) Wine Tasting
Beautiful down town village with a ton of food, shopping, and night life. One of the busier and more lively islands. We're having our bachelor party here if that tells you anything.
