The Wedding Website of Carter Smith and Hannah Puckett
Meet our friends and family who are walking down the aisle with us!

Camilla Beeley

Maid of Honor

Camilla and I met my freshman year of college as she was one of my small group leaders. She poured out so much love onto shy freshman Hannah and living together summer after my freshman year sealed the deal on our friendship! To know Cam is to love her. She is overflowing in warmth, kindness, joy, creativity, and freshly baked bread! She has loved me so well over the years and consistently points me to Christ's love for me.

Patrick Dunnington

Best Man

Patrick and I met at orientation just before our first year of college started, and over the next four years of sharing the same room we became best friends. Patrick and I could not be more different from each other (to put it in simple but vague terms, he is a numbers guy and I am a words guy). But the different perspectives we bring to our shared faith has led to some of the most eye opening and helpful conversations I’ve gotten to have. Patrick is funny, kind, and perhaps the most loyal friend I know.

Corinne McCaw

Matron of Honor

Corinne and I met the same day that Carter and I met! First day of fellows she and I immediately hit it off! It truly was love at first sight (sorry Carter and Oliver). Over the course of fellows, our relationship deepened and it has been so sweet sharing in this season of engagement and wedding planning with her! She is my confidant, a constant and grounded source of wisdom and empathy and the mother to my nephew Mr. Wriggles!

Alex Smith

Groomsman

Alex is the middle brother out of the Smiths, a badge of honor he wears with pride. If you do not see Alex at the wedding it is almost certainly because he wandered off into the blue ridge mountains. Alex is the most adventurous person in the family -feel free to ask him about the time we hiked through a blizzard in Iceland, or the time we scaled a cliff without ropes in the Italian dolomites. Alex cares deeply for his friends and family, and it is fun to be able to call my brother my friend.

Megan Wu

Bridesmaid

First day of fellows, Megan and I bonded over a shared love for Chris Renzema! I had bought 2 tickets and was hoping one of the other fellows would want to join me. When she confidently announced that all the fellows should go to the concert, I knew she and I were going to be friends. Megan is my go to for long drives for blasting worship music, boba runs and binging tv shows. She is hilarious and wise and driven and she constantly challenges me to love deeper and wider!

Blake Smith

Groomsman

Blake is my youngest brother. He is also the funniest person you will meet at this wedding, and I hope you get to experience it. As the oldest child, I pride myself on beating my siblings in every game we play, but after 17 years, Blake finally beat me in ping pong for the first time this fall. Blake’s victory is evidence of his competitiveness and dedication, qualities that will turn him into the next great architect. Blake also cares deeply for his friends and family, and it is fun to be able to call my brother my friend.

Brigette Nelson

Bridesmaid

The fourth glebe gal and fellow Anthro lover! Brigette has been a faithful friend since day 1 of fellows where she pulled me aside to affirm and encourage me. Her and my friendship grew steadily over the course of the fellows year and she never failed to lend me an ear to listen or shoulder to cry on. She has a deep infectious love for all things beautiful and good.

Brady Holbrook

Groomsman

Brady and I met during our Second Year at UVA. After a few months of living together, it was like we had been friends for years. Brady and I both love to hike, are passionate about random sports things, like the tiny Welsh soccer club called Wrexham, and we share a similar outlook on the important things in life: friends, family, and bourbon. While Brady and I have plenty of good times together, he is also the kind of friend who can sit with you well when life feels a little too hard.

Cora Smith

Bridesmaid

This friendship has W&L's messed up housing lottery to thank! Neither Cora nor I got the housing we wanted and so I offered her to room with me for the year in my Woods Creek Apartment. Little did I know that this was God's perfect plan all along. Cora's steadfast presence as my roommate during a really hard year of college was such an incredible blessing and she has been such a constant friend ever since.

Nathan Vendt

Groomsman

Nathan and I met in our first year of college at UVA when we shared the same dorm building, but we really became friends when we shared the same attic in our second year house. Our friendship is built on our shared faith. Nathan is one of the most steadfast people I have ever met, and his patience and wisdom has helped ground me in truth more times than I can count. Nathan and I are also lifelong Washington Commanders fans and we are excited to watch them win the Super Bowl this year.

Eliza Krodel

Bridesmaid

If I am ever feeling a love surge and just have to squeeze someone, Eliza is my girl! Eliza, Carter and I were part of a Peer Counseling Trio during our fellows year and no one could have handled the elephant in the room better than Eliza! She was and continues to be an incredible source of encouragement, long lingering conversations and big embraces. Fun fact: she and Megan were the first people I told about my feelings for Carter:)

Mason Fristoe

Groomsman

Mason and I also met during our Second Year at UVA. Perhaps more than any other friend in college, Mason and I bonded over a shared sense of humor and I don’t think anyone else made me laugh as hard or as often in college as he did. Mason is smart, driven, and gets sucked deeper into his hobbies than anyone I know. Just ask him about his bee hive, or his bourbon collection. Mason is also kindhearted, dependable, and a friend I know I can turn to in times of need.

Erika Puckett

Bridesmaid

Erika has known me my entire life. As my favorite sister (a title she proudly wears), she has had a front row seat to the many iterations of Hannah over the years, some more pleasant than others. She is creative, genuine, and the life of any party and any dance floor!

Zack Puckett

Groomsman

I met Zack when he came to visit DC last spring while Hannah and I were “not dating yet.” Zack is Hannah’s younger brother, and after a lifetime of only having sisters, he is about to get some help. You’re welcome, Zack. In the time that Zack and I have spent together, I can confidently say that he is thoughtful, kind, and a joy to be around.

Jillian Gallardo

Bridesmaid

On paper, one might not expect Jill and I to be friends but our 6-year-strong friendship is a testament to Jill's constant and intentional pursuit of me as a friend. I will admit I was intimidated of Jill when I met her. She is confident and vivacious and a creative genius. She and I have shared so much life together: from getting locked out on our back porch for 3 hours to yoga over zoom during Covid, the stories we share never fail to make me cry with laughter.

Douglas Deutsch

Groomsman

Douglas and I have been friends since 1st grade. We grew up biking to elementary school together, we were founding members of our neighborhood’s “skateboard club,” and we survived 12 years of Norfolk Public Schools together. Douglas is kindhearted, pursues his friends well, and is perhaps one of the only people I know who has followed through on his childhood dreams of living out an adventurous life. Just ask him about the sailboat he recently bought, which he plans to live on and sail around the world in.

Emily Borg

Bridesmaid

Emily is my oldest friend! We grew up in Cambridge, England together and have remained friends even with over 3,000 miles separating us! We were inseparable in middle school and high school and I would not be the person I am today without her in my life. She is joyful and wise and brilliant! And she definitely wins the award for bridesmaid who has to fly the furthest to get to the wedding.

Daniel Stoll

Groomsman

Daniel and I met in middle school, and our friendship was solidified, as all good friendships are, through shared trauma in the form of our 7th grade English class. 15 years later, Daniel still remembers to get me a gift for Christmas and delivers it at Christmas time (he then usually has to wait until May for me to get my act together and give him a comically belated Christmas gift in return). Daniel is one of the most stubborn, thoughtful, and loyal friends I’ve had the privilege of being friends with.

Oliver Siegfried

Groomsman

Oliver and I became friends sometime around the 3rd grade. It then took me seven years to beat him in pingpong for the first time, but I finally triumphed in our sophomore year of high school. Oliver is one of the smartest people I know, and he excels at anything he puts his mind to, from the violin, to tennis, to whatever the heck it is that a consultant does. My friendship with Oliver was built on dry sarcasm, a quality we continue to enjoy sharing today.
