We first met while working at the Kentucky Bar Association. Caroline was on staff at the KBA, and Aaron frequently came in from Dean Dorton to provide third-party IT support. After several years of working together (and Aaron fixing more than a few of Caroline’s tech issues), we decided to go on our first date in November 2024. While that dinner didn’t immediately turn into anything more, we stayed friendly. Then in June 2025, we met up for a casual drink to catch up—and this time, things were different. From that night on, we’ve been together ever since. Between comedy shows, basketball and soccer games, days at Keeneland, and plenty of dinners at Drake’s, we quickly realized how much we loved spending time together. In December, we took a magical trip to New York City and over the holidays were able to spend special time with each other’s families. That all led to Valentine’s Day this year, when Aaron surprised Caroline by getting down on one knee on the way to a dinner reservation. Valentine’s Day has always been Caroline’s favorite Hallmark holiday—but it means even more now. We are so excited to celebrate our marriage surrounded by our family and friends.
