Transportation to wedding venue from Lucca

June 14, 2025 3:30 pm - 1:15 am

Pick up location: Porta S. Pietro - this is where the van can get into in Lucca. It is a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The bus will be leaving at 3:30 PM for Casale de Pasquinelli. Due to the roads it will not be a big bus but vans fitting 20 people each van. If you are not staying in Lucca, both taxis and Uber are accessible to get you to the venue.

Florence Airport, Peretola Aeroporto di Firenze-Peretola

Florence Airport is the closest airport to our venue, but can be pricier if flying from the US.

Milan Malpensa Airport

This will most likely be the cheapest airport to fly directly to Italy from overseas. When you land you will need to take a train to Florence or Pisa.

International airport of Rome, in Fiumicino, Italy

Rome is another great option to fly into. You would also need to take a train up to Florence from here.

This hotel is in the city center of Lucca, close to restaurants and other activities. We will be having our welcome drinks in the surrounding area.

This Villa is composed of little apartments, composed of two rooms. It is an 8 minute drive from our venue, about 6 miles from Lucca center, and about 15 miles from Pisa.

Flights

If you are interested in extending your trip for more than just our wedding, we highly recommend considering flying through London or Paris. The flights are much more affordable, and it gives you a chance to see another city! Once you're in Europe it is much easier to get from country to country. Flights are posted 11 months in advance, but about 9 months prior to your travel date is when typically when you can find the most cost effective flight.
