The story of us

When you know, you know.

We both went to the same high school, Carter was a grade ahead of me so we did not really know each other, just knew of each other. It wasn't until years later that we would see each other here and there at the gym and Carter hit me up on Instagram! I had been posting about my back injury and Carter had some experience with football injuries so we really bonded over that. We finally went on our first date at the mall foodcourt to eat some Chick-fil-a and see a movie. Nothing too fancy, but we clicked right away! I remember coming home and telling my mom that it was too good to be true, but boy was I was wrong. We were instantly inseparable and the next thing we knew, we were looking for apartments together. Even adopted two precious kitties! We both quickly realized that we had met our match and wanted to spend forever together.

How he proposed

What happened in Vegas....didn't stay in Vegas!

After over a year of dating, we planned a trip to Las Vegas. All I knew at the time was it was just a fun trip we were taking together and I was clueless to the fact that he had already had a ring and talked to my Dad about asking me to marry him! The first night we arrived in Vegas, Carter took me to The Paris hotel and casino restaurant for a beautiful dinner overlooking the Fountains of Bellagio and the bright lights of Vegas. He was rather quiet all night but I was enjoying being there with him. After we finished our dinner, I scooted my chair closer to him but he told me to scoot back over. I thought to myself, "well that's rude!". Right as I was about to start fussing at him, he pulled out the ring and got down on one knee! I was shocked and crying ugly tears as the whole restaurant applauded us. I was on a cloud for the rest of night! The most special part was that Carter was given the diamond by my grandmother who recently passed away. Now she will forever be a part of our love story. We are so excited to share our special day with all of our friends and family. See you all at the alter! ♥
