Carter asked me to be his girlfriend on December 7, 2013. He was a senior and I was a junior at Lakeside High School. We were lucky enough to experience our college years together and support each other as we figured out what was next in our life. Carter had planned a weekend trip for just the two of us at the Big Cedar Lodge right outside of Branson, MO this past December. During that weekend, we were celebrating our 5 year anniversary. On December 7, 2019, Carter got down on one knee and proposed to me. Without a doubt, I said, "yes!" I knew from the very beginning just how special he was and he continues to amaze me every single day.
