Tinder! Yes, we met on tinder and hit it off right away. Deanna had just moved to NC for grad school and Carter had just moved back from Philly. Carter showed Deanna all the best spots- Allen and Sons BBQ, the Eno Quarry, and other local haunts.
We were camping at Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia. On a misty morning, while we were brewing coffee under an evergreen tree, Carter set up her phone about 20 feet away and walked back and got on one knee. We both laughed and Carter asked and of course Deanna enthusiastically said YES! We went on a hike up to Mount Rogers after that and while we were gone the wild ponies invaded our campsite and tore our trash bag down. After another night of camping, we returned to the family cabin in Boone with the rest of our pod arriving soon. Everyone spent the weekend together celebrating the union.
Because of COVID we are asking our friends and family to attend this event virtually. We will have a few pods with us in person for the big day, but we want to limit travel and keep everyone safe. There are more details on the Schedule and Zoom Info tabs of this webpage. Please RSVP for the virtual event by March 23rd. We look forward to celebrating with you.
