Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We ask that guests begin to arrive between 4:15 and 4:30 p.m. for the wedding ceremony that starts at 5:00 p.m.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Attire: Semi-formal and cocktail attire are welcome, including tuxes, gowns, suits, cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets with slacks

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The weather in Sylva, NC, in September is typically warm during the day and cooler at night. Rain is fairly common as this area of Western North Carolina is part of the Appalachian temperate rainforest.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

If it is not raining (fingers crossed!), the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be held outdoors. In the event of rain, the venue offers a covered pavilion. Please note that the ceremony will take place on grass, so plan footwear accordingly.

How do I get to the wedding venue? Where do I park?

Answer

Use Apple or Google Maps only (NOT WAZE). Simply type in “The Vineyards at Betty’s Creek”. Please see the "Venue Parking" tab for detailed information regarding parking.

Will transportation be provided to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

Unfortunately, we will not be providing transportation to and from the wedding venue. Additionally, Sylva, NC does not have Uber or Lyft services available. Are you arranging a hotel block?

Answer

We will not be arranging a hotel block. This is a semi-destination wedding during a holiday week, we wanted to allow guests the flexibility to choose accommodations that best suit their plans, whether that means extending their stay, booking an Airbnb, or selecting a local mountain lodging in the surrounding area. If you are needing recommendations for lodging, we have included local hotels that are closest to the venue in the "Travel" tab.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Kids are welcome at our wedding.

What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please let us know if you have any special dietary restrictions. If informed well in advance, we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
