Question

What is the best way to get to the wedding venue?

Answer

The best way to get to the wedding venue is to travel by car. North Carolina's Outer Banks are a string of barrier islands that begin at the Virginia border and go south for 120 miles.

Question

What do I need to know about Hatteras Island?

Answer

Hatteras Island isn't like other places that you have visited. It is remote and wild and beautiful. The natural landscape will take your breath away with stunning oceanside sunrises and equally gorgeous soundside sunsets. Hatteras Island is an outdoor paradise with watersports, lighthouses, fishing, wildlife and quiet walks along the beaches. Once you cross the bridge to the island, you will find a new, more relaxed, slower-paced environment. The tradeoff of this special place, is that many of the conveniences we take for granted simply are not available (e.g. restaurants that actually open when promised, ubers, etc.). Please know that it is very dark on the roads as there are not many streetlights. This lack of light pollution makes for amazing stargazing! Also because of it's remoteness, please be on the look out for wildlife, especially the deer that inhabit the sand dunes. Finally, the sand along the roads is soft so be wary if you have to pull over - many a visitor and local alike has been stuck in the soft sand.
