We were both born and raised in Sarasota and unbeknownst to us, our childhood homes were only half a mile away from each other. If you asked us when we officially met, it was on the first day of kindergarten, and for the next 13 years we were schoolmates. Crazy, right? Post-college, we found ourselves in each other’s orbits again both living in New York. We always say we officially re-met on the subway platform, when Ansley didn’t recognize Carter, “Hi I’m Ansley”, “It’s Carter…from kindergarten?”. After our (pretty awkward) re-introduction, we became fast friends. That first year consisted of underground parties, concerts, comedy shows, park picnics, commuting back and forth between Bushwick and the East Village, and ultimately falling for each other. Somewhere along the way Carter agreed to go on a Lake Powell houseboat trip with 10 of Ansley’s friends he had never met before (it didn’t take much convincing) and that adventure turned into many, many more for the two of us. Our last year in the city together was a beautiful blur and soon we were ready for more. In 2021 we started the first of many road trips out west, which sparked years of travel and love for the open road. In 2023 we upgraded to a van and even did the whole van-life thing for a year (thanks remote jobs)! During this experience, we quickly realized we’re partners for life – if you can thrive while living and traveling in a 20ft metal box together, you can do anything! These years have been spent hiking mountains, boondocking on our public lands, waking up with the sunrise, throwing renegade parties in the desert, learning how to rock climb, rafting down rapids, chasing powder, watching wildlife, putting 25k miles on our van, dancing to live music, cultivating community, rescuing our dog, getting engaged, spending time with each other's families, laughing so hard and falling more and more in love with each other every day. We finally put roots down in Denver, Colorado and are so fortunate to be surrounded by nature and our amazing circle of family and friends. We feel very lucky to call this place home. The last 5 years together have been quite the adventure and we can't wait to celebrate our love with all of you – the ones who helped shape who we are today and supported us every step of the way :) Get ready to party! See ya soon!! Love always, Ansley & Carter
