This is one of our favorite spots to go hang out and have a drink. Named in honor of Sanford’s nickname, “Celery City,” the venue pays tribute to the town’s agricultural heritage with decor rich in local history. The establishment boasts over 50 beers on tap, including a significant selection from Florida breweries, alongside wines and cocktails. It has an outdoor space that often has live music and always has a great ambiance.
Henry's Depot is a food hall located in a restored historic railroad depot in downtown Sanford. Visitors can enjoy a variety of cuisines, including seafood from The Current Seafood Counter, plant-based Southern BBQ from Dharma Fine Vittles, wood-fired pizzas from Oak Flame Pizza, and artisanal ice cream from The Greenery Creamery.
We wouldn't be us if we didn't recommend a day trip to Walt Disney World! It's especially magical around Christmas.
This zoo and botanical gardens is located in Sanford and a great day out. We especially recommend the The Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild. It's a magical nighttime event where the zoo is transformed with dozens of larger-than-life, hand-crafted lantern displays that light up the night. Each glowing lantern is inspired by animals, nature, and traditional Asian designs - think glowing dragons, shimmering tigers, and illuminated flowers, all brought to life with thousands of LED lights. It's a really cool event if you're staying in town!
