Liz and Carson met in July 2019 on a TCU orientation trip (aka Frog Camp) to Edinburgh, Scotland. After quickly becoming close friends, they reunited for their first year at TCU. Carson began to fall first, but a quick friend zone from Liz made Carson hesitant to botch a wonderful relationship. So, the two decided to remain friends. However, COVID began to change things between the two. Back home and missing her good friend, Liz started frequent Facetime calls with Carson, which quickly turned into hour-long chats about anything and everything. Reuniting for sophomore year, Liz realized there could be potential for more than just friendship and decided to see if Carson still had feelings. Spoiler Alert: He did. The two went on their first date in October 2020 and have been inseparable ever since. Liz and Carson both moved to Denver after graduation to prevent indefinite long distance. In Colorado, they’ve filled their time surrounded by wonderful community and countless adventures into the mountains. Most important is their set Tuesday date night, complete with dinner at home and crossword puzzles. On October 12, 2024, after almost four years together, Carson proposed at the Denver Botanic Gardens, and the two celebrated that evening surrounded by family and friends. ••• We have friends and family from all over the country (and now the globe!) that have been a part of this now six-year adventure. Wherever you fit into this story, thank you for encouraging us, praying over us, and just being our incredibly loyal friends. We would not be here without the love and support of each of you. See you in Chicago!
