CHICKEN SH*T BINGO [YES, YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY) Only in Austin do they play a form of bingo in which the winner is chosen by where a caged chicken decides to relieve itself. As if an event titled Chicken Shit Bingo wasn't enough to get you out here, on Sundays they serve free hot dogs with all the fixins.

Austin is famous for being the Live Music Capital of the World, but it's also home to a great institution of recorded music. Waterloo Records gets its name from the original colony of Waterloo that sat approximately where the northern end of the Congress Avenue Bridge sits today. The practice that originally made them popular was that you could listen to any album in the store before you purchased it, and they had a ten-day, no-questions-asked return policy. They still honor these policies today. Waterloo Records has the best selection of vinyl in the city, as well as rare DVDs and other music memorabilia.
