Weeki Wachee Springs State Park
Only about 15–20 minutes from Brooksville, Weeki Wachee is one of Florida’s most iconic springs. You can kayak the crystal clear river, take a boat tour, swim, or even watch the famous mermaid show. It’s a fun way to experience classic “Old Florida” while in town for the weekend. :)
Clearwater Beach
A bit further of a drive at about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Brooksville, Clearwater Beach is an awesome spot known for its white sand beaches, clear water, and beautiful sunsets!
Armature Works
Located right along the Tampa Riverwalk about an hour from Brooksville, Armature Works is one of our favorite spots in Tampa! It has a huge food hall with tons of different restaurants and drinks, plus a great outdoor area right on the water.
Sparkman Wharf
Located in downtown Tampa about an hour from Brooksville, Sparkman Wharf is also one of our favorite Tampa spots with outdoor dining, drinks, live music, and great views of the water!
Universal Studios Florida
About 2 hours from Brooksville, Universal and Islands of Adventure are great options for anyone looking to extend their trip. If you love Harry Potter, adrenaline rushes, and movies, these parks might be the perfect place for you! Walt Disney World® Resort
About 2 hours from Brooksville, Disney World is a fun option if you’re planning to turn the wedding weekend into a longer Florida trip.
