It all began back in fourth grade at Cardinal Elementary, where we shared the same class with the wonderful Mrs. McMullen (shoutout!). Little did we know then, we both had quiet crushes on each other — though nothing came of it… not yet, anyway. As the years passed, we found ourselves in more classes together, sharing small talk and casual conversations throughout middle and high school. Then, at the start of senior year, Brock moved from Brownsburg to Perry Meridian. Just like that, we lost touch. It wasn’t until freshman year at Purdue that we crossed paths again. We exchanged a friendly hello — the kind you give an old classmate — and went our separate ways. Then came sophomore year. Brock reached out to Sarah about a campus ministry, and she immediately invited him to Salt. That’s when things began to shift. We started seeing each other regularly, talking more often, and slowly, something new began to grow. Not long after Brock’s baptism, our conversations became more intentional — and eventually led to Brock asking Sarah out on a date. That night changed everything. It was clear from the beginning: this was something special. It just felt right — like we had finally opened our eyes to something that had been there all along. Soon after, Brock studied abroad in England, and we began the challenge of long distance. It was a season full of growth — hard and beautiful — one that strengthened our relationship and deepened our dependence on God. Fast forward to the engagement: Brock proposed on the beach at Isle of Palms, South Carolina. Even though we both knew this moment was coming, he made it incredibly special. It was a place rich with meaning — where Sarah’s dad was born, where her family vacationed, where her grandmother’s ashes were scattered — and now, the place where we promised forever to one another. We are beyond grateful for how God has written — and continues to write — our story. It's a beautiful testament to His goodness, faithfulness, and timing. To everyone who has loved us, encouraged us, and walked with us along the way — thank you. You’ve shaped us into who we are today as we prepare for marriage, and we’re so excited for what’s ahead.
