Emma and Jeff first met on the cross country team their freshman year at Salisbury University. Between running and taking classes together, they became really good friends. This isn’t when their love story began, but it’s when their friendship really grew and developed.

On New Years Eve of 2012, Jeff confessed his feelings for Emma. After spending every moment together, Emma accepted her first official date with Jeff. During spring break, Jeff and Emma met in Ocean City, MD and started off the break with a nice, long walk along the beach. That was the moment when Jeff asked Emma to be his girlfriend, and the rest is history!

On a Friday afternoon, Emma and Jeff had the opportunity to knock off early from work. They found themselves doing what they love the most - enjoying each other’s company out on the boat. After finding the perfect spot at Cornfield Creek, overlooking a beautiful horse farm, they poured some wine and began to relax and unwind from the work week. It was at this moment that Jeff got down on one knee and popped the question. And, of course, Emma said, "YES!" Jeff loves to joke that if Emma had said no, it would have been a long swim back to shore!
