It all started one Sunday morning at church here in Tennessee. The moment Torean walked in, our eyes met. It was such a simple moment, but neither of us realized it would change our lives forever. Torean: I was sitting a few rows behind Carrington and I’ll never forget the smile she gave when we locked eyes. I also remember trying to see who this new girl was co-signing with the pastor. Something about her stood out to me right away. Truthfully, during the very first week we started texting, I told her I already knew she was going to be my wife one day. Carrington: Torean didn’t waste any time and asked me out for coffee the very next morning before work. That one coffee date turned into hours of talking and laughing. We connected so effortlessly that we both ended up being late to work, but it was worth every second. Torean: From that day forward we were inseparable. Every weekend we found ourselves together, whether it was carpooling to church, spending time with friends, or just enjoying each other’s company. Somewhere along the way, our friendship grew into something deeper and I realized I couldn’t imagine life without her. Carrington: Sundays quickly became our favorite day of the week. Not just because of church, but because of our little tradition afterward. We would always stop by Nothing Bundt Cakes, talk about the service, and talk about life. Somehow Torean always found a way to flex his muscles just to make me laugh. Torean: On February 8, 2025, I asked Carrington to be my forever, and she said yes. We also want to honor and thank Papa Moore, who counseled and poured wisdom into our relationship along the way. We love you and miss you dearly. Now we are counting down the days until we say “I do,” surrounded by faith, laughter, and love, the same way our story began.
