Welcome To Our Love Story

Matt and I met when we worked at Texas Roadhouse in Murfreesboro, TN together. We started there in January of 2017. He caught my eye during orientation and I remember thinking how handsome he was. I also noticed the other girls thought that too (lol). We started out as friends and we realized we had something more between us. I think that was our hearts letting us know that we had found our other half. Ice cold beers, legendary margaritas, and soulmates.

Mothers Day of 2019 was my first Mothers Day, and I wanted it to be special. Now when I thought of special, I thought of breakfast in bed, maybe a pretty necklace, that sorta thing. I guess I should've known Matt never does anything halfway. The day before, I had a spa day and enjoyed a relaxing day. He went out with his mom and Natalie to find something for me for Mother's Day. He came home and looked so sad. He told me he couldn't find anything and he kept saying sorry for not making my day perfect. I assured him it was fine, all I needed was him and our girl. On Sunday, our family came over for a Mother's Day lunch. We grilled out and enjoyed each others company. We were all sitting outside and he handed me my card and told me I had to open it right away. As I opened the card, I noticed my dad slowly getting into position with his camera and I felt everyone's eyes on me. Inside the card (which was incredibly sweet itself) was a sweet note and at the bottom, in all capital letters, WILL YOU MARRY ME? I was stunned. Suddenly he was pulling me up to my feet, getting down on one knee, and slipping the most beautiful ring on my finger. It was so special getting to share this with our family and especially having pictures that my dad took. It was an amazing day. The start of our forever...
