Brandon is from Kennesaw, Georgia and Jill is from Douglas, Alabama. They were brought together by Snead State Community College, where Brandon played baseball and Jill on an academic scholarship. They knew who the other was, but their paths never crossed. In 2012, they decided to give dating a shot. Jill was living in Tuscaloosa, Al and Brandon living back home in Georgia. The timing wasn't perfect, so they parted ways. On August 25, 2017, Brandon and Jill reconnected and decided to go out to "catch up". The two met in Rome, Georgia with no expectations other than to catch up with an old friend. They ate dinner, walked through downtown Rome, and talked like they had never been apart. They came across the Robert Redden Foot Bridge. Sitting by the bridge, they both realized something special was happening. (The bridge is pictured below) Inseparable for the next 16 months, their relationship grew even stronger. Long distance was hard, but they both knew they had found their forever. They went back to Rome twice during dating and always knew it was a special place. On December 30, 2018, Brandon took Jill back to Rome, GA for dinner. They walked on the Robert Redden Foot Bridge where Brandon got on one knee and asked Jill to marry him.
