Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Please fly into Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU). Old San Juan is approximately a 20–25 minute drive from the airport.

Question

Do I need a passport to travel to Puerto Rico?

Answer

No passport is required for U.S. citizens. Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory.

Question

How early should I arrive to Puerto Rico?

Answer

We recommend arriving at least one day before the wedding to allow time to settle in, explore, and account for any travel delays. We do not recommend flying on Friday, June 26, 2026 (the day of the wedding).

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We’ve shared hotel recommendations and travel tips on our Travel & Where to Stay page, including information about our discounted room block at Hotel El Convento. Old San Juan is very walkable, and staying nearby will make the weekend easiest. Condado and Isla Verde are also great options—both areas offer beautiful hotels, beaches, and dining, and are a short, easy drive or ride to Old San Juan and Hotel El Convento.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided, but Old San Juan is extremely walkable, and rideshares (Uber and taxis) are readily available throughout the area. If you plan to rent a car, please note that parking in Old San Juan can be limited. On the day of the wedding, Hotel El Convento offers valet parking, and there are also nearby public parking garages within walking distance. We recommend allowing extra time for parking and checking with your hotel or Airbnb in advance for specific parking options and availability.

Question

Will the ceremony be outdoors?

Answer

Yes — the ceremony will be held outdoors. The reception is indoors.

Question

Is the ceremony unplugged?

Answer

Yes. Our ceremony will be unplugged. We invite you to be fully present while our professional photographer captures the moment.

Question

Can we share photos or videos from the wedding on social media?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests do not share photos or videos from our ceremony or reception on social media during the wedding day. We’ve chosen to have our professional photographer capture these moments, and we’d love to be the first ones to share our special day when the time feels right for us. Once we’ve shared our photos, you are more than welcome to post, tag, and celebrate alongside us—we can’t wait to relive the memories together! Thank you so much for helping us stay present and honoring this request!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, this will be an adults-only celebration. Thank you for understanding.

Question

What about gifts?

Answer

Your presence is truly the greatest gift. Because this is a destination wedding, we kindly ask that no physical gifts be brought. Any items purchased through our registry will be delivered to our house. If you’d like to give, please visit our Registry page. You’ll also see an option to support FlyDogz, an organization close to our hearts that helps rescue dogs find safe transport to loving homes—allowing our celebration to give back in a meaningful way.

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 1, 2026. Due to planning and venue requirements, RSVPs received after this date may not be accepted, and any guests who have not responded by the deadline will be considered unable to attend. Once you formally RSVP, we’ll send text (SMS) updates as we get closer to the wedding day with important reminders and details.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Late June in Puerto Rico is warm and tropical. Expect sunshine with daytime temperatures in the mid-80s. We recommend lightweight formal attire, breathable fabrics, and staying hydrated.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Formal Wedding Attire Required. We invite you to dress in your finest formal evening wear. Please note: linen suits, sundresses, and casual attire are not permitted. This is not a beach wedding.

Question

What shoes should I wear?

Answer

Old San Juan has cobblestone streets, so we strongly recommend comfortable, walkable shoes—especially for getting to and from events. We will be parading from the ceremony to the reception. Style + comfort is key.

Question

Will there be assigned seating?

Answer

Yes, seating will be assigned for the reception. Please be sure to complete your RSVP in full so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

You’ll be able to note any dietary restrictions when you RSVP. We’ll do our best to accommodate all needs.

Question

What can we expect for dinner and dessert?

Answer

We’ll be serving a full evening of delicious food and drinks. During cocktail hour, guests will enjoy passed appetizers. Dinner will follow with a multi-course meal, including soup, salad, an entrée (selected at your RSVP), and dessert. For dessert, we’re excited to offer Coffee & Ice Cream Bars with live baristas by The Ice Cream & Coffee Bar by Corazón de Barista, along with our wedding cake—because every celebration needs cake!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We’ll be hosting an open bar for the entire event. During cocktail hour, guests can enjoy our signature cocktails—the Passionfruit Paloma and a Tom Collins—along with beer, water, and non-alcoholic options. During dinner and dancing, there will be a full open bar, with red and white wine service during dinner as well. Our signature cocktails are proudly sponsored by our dogs, Oliver and Olivia —because they had to be part of the celebration!

Question

Can we request songs from the DJ?

Answer

Our DJ will not be taking live song requests during the event. However, we do want to know what keeps you on the dance floor! When you RSVP, you’ll have the opportunity to share the songs and artists that get you dancing. We’re curating the night with our DJ to reflect everyone’s favorites. Expect a fun, high-energy mix spanning the ’70s through today, including hip-hop, R&B, reggaeton, and more—with jazz instrumental music during cocktail hour to set the mood. Trust us… it’s going to be a party!

Question

Can I extend my trip?

Answer

Absolutely! We encourage guests to turn this into a vacation. Puerto Rico has incredible beaches, food, history, and culture—perfect for extending your stay. Visit our 'Things To Do in PR' page for suggestions!
