Maid of Honor
When I was 3 and a half years old my parents brought Carrie Rose home from the hospital and I was dethroned as the only princess in the house. She was a little under cooked, but small and cute. At first it didn't bother me sharing the spotlight, but after a few years I grew to resent her because she was cuter than me, smart beyond her years, and quite the chatty Cathy. I'm not proud of of some of the things I put her through when we were little kids. However after a few more years Carrie proved to be irresistibly likeable and quite gritty and resilient, thanks to my bullying I'm sure... Eventually in our teenage years I realized she was an incredibly witty, funny and cool person, someone I admired, and she has been my best friend in the world ever since.

The first time Tyler and I talked in Junior High, I knew I found a friend. Years of playing with fireworks, 7-11 trips, late night call of duty sessions, and a dash of enginerding has kept us together like peas in a pod. Carrie might have him for life, but I still get the weekends.

Carrie and Camille met in 3rd grade when Camille transferred to Woodmoor. It didn’t take long for them to become besties for life! Over their 20+ years of friendship, they’ve had countless laughs and shared plates of nachos.

I hated my chemistry teacher and Tyler did too, so we ditched class and hung out in my car and listened to music on my new subs. I may not have those subs anymore but I still have Tyler.
Maid of Honor
My best friend Carrie Cutler and I met in first grade at Woodmoor Elementary in PACE, and we’ve been inseparable ever since. We spent our childhood playing Barbies (weirdly mostly packing and unpacking due to major Barbie apocalypse's), belting out Dixie Chicks and Shania Twain songs, and running wild. I have been planning her wedding since our very beginning of our Barbie days and boy am I excited it is finally happening In third grade, we met Camille and became the unstoppable trio known as CCK. No matter where life takes us or how far apart we are, Carrie is my best friend, soul mate, and life partner.

To understand Jamie’s role in the bridal party, you must understand the cousins’ place in the cosmos. Four cousins, three ages, two households, one deep love shared. Jamie represents the eldest in our order. She holds the power of “talk,”—acting face of our organization as we plot, plan, and scheme. As Carrie represents the opposite side of this spectrum, da wittle bitty baby cousin, there is a powerful kinship between the two. Carrie also holds the “jump” power, a complimentary power source to “talk.” For 100% of Carrie’s life, Jamie has been there, guiding, comforting, teaching, and often outright demanding various tasks and actions. and for 86.1% of Jamie’s life, Carrie has been there to provide humor, empathy, and various menial tasks and actions.

I’ve known Tyler for years after meeting through mutual friends. I’ve always been drawn to his kindness and genuine nature and sense of being. We always seem to pick up where we’ve left off whenever we meet up.

Lucas has been making Carrie laugh since her premature birth. A cousin who takes his job seriously, he will dance, sing and even do violence unto himself for the sake of her lolz. He is positively tickled to be a part of Team Bride for this event.

I'm sure I met Tyler at our mutual friend's house, and though I wasn't sure about him at first, he also liked playing Halo. And so our friendship began there with controllers in our hands, colorful expletives filling the room, and fresh tea being served as Tyler and Trey died over and over to me and my absolute mastery of the game.

I met Carrie freshman year of college when we lived on the same floor of our dorm. Actually, she met my mom first because I was deathly ill during orientation and Carrie was nice enough to be friends with me when I was finally well enough to show up for school. We have been on many adventures together from trips across Washington singing the Hamilton soundtrack to trips to my hometown in Hawaii together. I’m so grateful to have had Carrie through several stages of life and all its twists and turns and I’m even more grateful I can be apart of celebrating her next great adventure - marrying Tyler!

I started dating Annie while working at Wyraqocha, a Peruvian restaurant. Carrie, her little sister, who spoke very good Spanish started working with us. One day her boyfriend showed up in QFC attire. It was Tyler, in his Miata era, an innocent Eagle Scout unjaded by life. Boy, have things changed...

I couldn't tell you the exact day or instance that Carrie and I met because it was in 3rd grade. What I do remember is that she was the most warm and welcoming to the new girl. It was greatly needed and appreciated. We reconnected again in college where I had transferred, and so was again the new girl. She was again the most warm and welcoming. She and Tyler invited me over for sloppy joe night, and now in a blink, we're all here.
