As most people know, Eric and Carrie met when Carrie's family moved to Escanaba 32 years ago. The Malmsten family quickly became a second family for the MacKenzie's. It has been fun to look back to see how many times our lives paths intersected and truly laid some ground work for us being together. In May Eric posted a picture of a sunset on little bay de noc, and Carrie commented on how it made her think of home. One tiny message opened the door for easy conversation and re-connection. Quickly the friendship transitioned into fun light heartedness to something far deeper then either of us realized we were missing, we both feel like God has brought us together and we can't wait to see what he has for us next.

Eric asked Z, Kenzie and Abby if he could marry their mom. And the girls said yes, but wanted to help be a part of the proposal. So, as Eric continues to realize how oppinionated these ZAM girls can be. They came up with the plan to play eneagrams with the letter M A R R Y M E. By the time it was put together the ZAM girls were excited and Abby had Taylor swift playing marry me juliet in the background of the beautiful crazy unfolding. Eric took a knee and asked Carrie to marry him...she said yes, obviously.
