Where Duncan proposed to Carrie! Beautiful park to take a walk and enjoy nature in the middle of downtown Charleston. We really enjoy bringing Daisy here to walk. In the center of the park there is a series of ponds with a waterfall. There is a large population of wild birds geese, chickens, and other fowl.
This is a great park that contains very old live oak trees in a wooded, shady setting. Directly adjacent to the park is The Battery which is home to the lower peninsula seawall. This location has great views of the ocean, sailboats, and wildlife.
By far our favorite beach in the area! Excellent restaurants and waves!
This is a super hip restaurant/bar on Folly Beach. We go here all of the time after we have spent some time at the beach (very casual). They also do live music. However, this place is entirely outdoors, so plan accordingly.
This is our favorite restaurant in Charleston! It is up in North Charleston in the Park Circle neighborhood. (Try the Chicken Karaage; Best fried chicken we have ever had).
The best beer in the city! It is a small, quaint brewery specializing in Belgian brews. It is very close to our house and we frequent it a lot. Our favorite beers are the Munk Lager, Gullywasher Witbier, and the 'My Freckled Friend' English Ale.
Very good Italian restaurant in Downtown Charleston. We have been there for birthday, graduation, and anniversary celebrations (and just because). We highly recommend their pastas and pizzas (and the spicy caesar salad).
Brewery that is close to our wedding venue on Johns Island. Aloha Beaches is one of their signature beers (Wheat beer).
Great Italian restaurant on Johns Island near our wedding venue.
This is a great Greek restaurant in Charleston. The prices are reasonable, and the food is excellent. This restaurant is located in the heart of the College of Charleston campus where Duncan got his Master's Degree.
THE BEST BBQ in Charleston. It is Texas style BBQ. Can't recommend this place enough. The brisket melts in your mouth.
Great oyster and fried chicken joint in downtown Charleston.
