We both come from a long history of athletics, active in many sports, and both playing at the college level. It is certainly fitting that we met through athletics, Corey as a middle school athletic director, and Carrie as a middle school head softball coach. Corey was hosting a tournament in Choctaw, which prompted our first interaction, or at least in Carrie's mind it was their first time meeting. Carrie, of course, was oblivious, however, she wasted no time proving him wrong from day 1! With the help of a friend, and Carrie finally dropping her pride, Corey reached out through social media, and quickly scheduled our first date! Turns out Corey had (supposedly) had his interest piqued for a year, when they first met the season prior (again, Carrie was oblivious). A 3 hour dinner date at Uncle Julio's, and I think we both can agree we knew we found someone special, someone who understood our lives, shared similar goals, and both loved investing back into the sports that shaped us! Things got serious quickly, and there was never any question for either of us that this was who we both had prayed to spend our lives with. A year later, after much hard work, growth, growing pains, and lots of love, Corey FINALLY popped the question! We are so excited to spend our lives together, and we can't wait to celebrate our wedding day with all of our guests! Thank you to all of those that love us, guide us, and pour into us!
