The mountains are an incredibly special place for both of us. Carrie spent many summers at Grandfather Golf and Country Club with her mom's family on Hillside Lane, while Chris was just down the road at the Schrum's Twin Rivers home in Foscoe. We discovered our mutual love for the mountains shortly after our relationship began in Chapel Hill in 2016. Since then, we have spent countless afternoons hiking the Blue Ridge, brewery hopping in Boone and Blowing Rock, fishing the Boone Fork, or relaxing on back porches at the Schrum's house or the Fulton's in Linville. We can't imagine a better place to begin our lives together. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the time and effort you are making to attend this special weekend in our favorite place.
