Yes! Black Tie Optional For the ladies the grounds are expansive so we advise wearing comfortable shoes/wedges for easier walking, or come prepared with an extra pair of flip flops.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Yes! Since Carrie is half Moroccan, we will be hosting a traditional Henna party on Saturday, 10/27 at Edmund's Oast. If you have never been, it's a must to experience. Think kaftans & lots of good music/dancing. The event will begin at 9:00 p.m., so we recommend making dinner reservations at the restaurant prior to the Henna Party (the food is delish!) or there are a number of great places to eat on that street, including Butcher and Bee next door. Transportation to the Venue

Answer

If you are staying at Middleton Inn or Holiday Inn Riverview, shuttles will be provided to and from the wedding venue only. We recommend taking an Uber from any other property you are staying at that weekend.

How far is the airport to Downtown Charleston or Middleton Place?

Answer

Charleston International Airport (CHS) is the ideal airport to fly into and is approximately 10 miles to Downtown and 23 miles to Middleton Place. An UberX ride to Downtown Charleston is around $10 and to Middleton Place is $30. The Downtown Shuttle for downtown Charleston is $15 per passenger and departs within 15 minutes of request. The shuttle is a shared ride and may make other stops downtown, depending on the number of passengers. Taxi service within 6 miles of the airport is $15 minimum fare for two people.
