Yes, we both swiped right! Randy and I decided to meet at a bar in Hoboken for a drink on a Wednesday night for our first date. We were supposed to meet at 6pm, but he was late getting a haircut (eye roll). He texted me around 8:45pm and said he was going to shower and get ready. I was not only irritated, but kinda over the excitement of meeting him. At that moment there was a downpour with thunder and lightning, and the bar wasn't even close to my apartment. I was so close to cancelling, saying maybe we would meet another time, even though we probably wouldn't. Something in my gut told me to just go. So I hopped in an Uber and as I walked into the bar and closed my umbrella, I looked up and saw him. Our eyes met, and at that moment I just knew. It was that feeling everyone tells you about that will happen to you one day when you find the one but you just never believed them. One drink turned into many and we stayed talking until the lights came on. Timing, in this case, was everything and I wouldn't have changed a thing. Three weeks later Randy told me loved me, and here we are.
