We’ve always told people we met at the gym (it’s our favorite inside joke), but the truth is that our story really began with a simple swipe on Bumble. Antonio and I first met in March 2023. On our first date, we went to La Hechizera, a Mexican restaurant, followed by a spontaneous trip to IKEA where we spent the rest of the evening walking around and talking until the store closed. Not ready for the night to end, we watched ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ in Antonio’s car in the IKEA parking lot all just to avoid having to say goodnight to each other! Our first date led to many more over the next few weeks, with activities like hiking at Cedar Ridge Preserve and then enjoying a whole pizza at Brooklyn's Best Pizza and Pasta. After a fun-filled day listening to music, eating delicious food, and playing giant Jenga at the Dallas Food Fest, he asked me to be his girlfriend! Since then, adventure has been our love language: paddle-boarding, parasailing, kayaking, snowshoeing, a hot air balloon ride and trips to Hawaii, Mexico, Utah, Kansas, Las Vegas, and Japan. Amidst all the travel and excitement, we decided to get a dog together, a pitbull mix named Ellie, who quickly became the newest member of our family and brought even more love and laughter into our lives. We also have our other fur baby Jerry, Antonio's beloved cat, who has been a constant companion and a big part of our lives since day one. Earlier this year, we took another big step and bought our first house together, a place where we could build our future and create even more memories. However, the biggest adventure of all began during a getaway to Terlingua, Texas. Under a breathtaking view of the stars, he asked me to marry him and spend the rest of our lives together! We ended the most amazing weekend by hiking at the Big Bend National Park. As we stood there, hand in hand, under the vast Texas sky, I knew this was only the beginning. As we eagerly plan our wedding and look forward to saying 'I do,' we're filled with excitement for all the adventures that lie ahead. We are incredibly grateful for the love and support we've received from each of you.
