There isn't an easy way to put this... but here is what happened. With the pandemic and social restrictions that are now in place our wedding size had to be cut by more than 50%. We are now able to only invite family and our closest friends. If you are invited we need you to RSVP as quickly as possibly. If you can't attend we want to be able to extend the invite to someone else who is important in our lives. This was, obviously, extremely hard for us to do.
Location: Galveston, Texas One night when Courtney was getting ready to go out with a group of friends she sarcastically proclaimed "tonight, I will find my husband" before taking a shot of something that was probably horrible. Somehow, even after many a drinks on The Strand, Courtney and pals ended up at Buckshot Saloon. Nathan, having had his own liquor filled night, was already there. As he likes to explain, he was "holding onto the railing around the dance floor trying not to fall over." The night continued on and Nathan asked Courtney to two-step. Never being one for fully embracing Texas culture, she said no... multiple times. Nathan, never really taking "no" for an answer came back a few minutes later to ask again. Courtney was talking to her friend Haley who pretty much said yes for her. Begrudgingly, Courtney threw back two lemon drop shots before taking the future doctor's hand.
After dating through the last half of Nathan's medical school career, Nathan was placed in Las Vegas, NV. Although this wasn't the plan, Courtney never questioned if she would follow Nathan west. Together the pair embarked on their biggest adventure yet, moving across the country only having each other. Las Vegas has turned into an amazing life for the pair who immediately adopted their son/dog Trek. In Las Vegas Nathan is a Doctor of Internal Medicine and Courtney manages social media for the largest casino on Fremont Street, The Golden Nugget.
