Tyler and Carolyn (Carrie) first met in September 2016 at a California Pizza Kitchen training class- he was the trainer and she was new to the restaurant industry. Tyler was always super nice and patient with the newbie, so Carrie would look forward to shifts where Tyler was working. The two quickly became friends but told curious coworkers "Oh ew, we'd never date!" In April 2017, Carrie and Tyler both realized that maybe their friendship was something more. When they became an official couple is up for debate- Carrie says it's when she asked Tyler to be exclusive in May, Tyler says it's when they went on their first "official" date in June. Regardless, by that summer, they were inseparable and moved in together a year later. After several years in love, the two decided to take the next step- parenthood! In 2021, Tyler and Carrie welcomed Quinn into their family and have been blessed with the most fantastic son imaginable. Tyler proposed to Carrie in February 2023 and completely surprised her! Unable to find the most perfect proposal spot and anxious to finally propose, Tyler got down on one knee seconds before they were set to pick Quinn up from the sitter - Carrie said "YES!" in the front yard of Tyler's best friend's house!
