We're so excited to celebrate with you!!

We met through our mutual best friend, Janine. I had just moved back home a few months earlier from California and Janine (who I have been friends since the 5th grade) asked if I wanted to go out on a Thursday night for dinner and cocktails. We ended up going to Sedona Taphouse in Troy. She let me know her friend, Mike, would be stopping by the restaurant to drop off something to her. He was there when we arrived and we had a few drinks and then we all had dinner together. We stayed at the restaurant for over 3+ hours just talking and laughing. I thought Mike was there for her and did not realize that she had asked him to come out because she wanted him to meet me! I was completely clueless but I guess that is a good thing because it was all so natural. I thought he was sooo good looking, very funny, and absolutely had the best personality. We exchanged phone numbers that night and started texting that evening. I was so excited he and I had mutual feelings for each other immediately. I am so thankful to have that "not by chance" first meeting. The next evening we met up again and had our first kiss. I am still in awe and so in love and cannot wait to become his wife.

Mike proposed very early on a Sunday morning. I was still asleep and he had just came back in the house after taking our new puppy outside. I woke up (kinda) and he told me good morning and gave me a kiss. He then went to his closet and came around to my side of the bed and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I truly thought it was just a dream as I had not fully woken up yet and god only knows what I looked like at the time. I said YES of course and let him know that was the easiest question I had ever had to answer. It was perfect and sweet. We both teared up/cried a little but happy tears!! He couldn't of picked out a more gorgeous ring! He says he was extremely nervous but I could not tell. I think he was perfect. I found out later that he had asked for my dads blessing a few weeks earlier along with letting my kids and sister know that he was planning on proposing which I found so sweet and so him. Mike is the epitome of the word gentleman.
